EQT is a leading private equity group with operations in Northern and Eastern Europe, Asia and the US.  EQT manages funds with activities in buyouts as well as mezzanine finance. EQT has a unique industrial approach and a strong record of delivering superior returns over time.

Equity
The funds make control and co-control investments in high-quality, market-leading, medium-sized to large companies in growing industries in the Nordic region, German-speaking Europe and CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) with a potential for top-line growth.

Greater China
The Fund makes control or co-control investments in high-quality market-leading, medium-sized companies in attractive industries in Greater China and Southeast Asia with a potential for top-line growth. Targeted companies are in industries where the accumulated competence of the EQT Industrial Network in developing similar companies in more mature markets is leveraged.

Infrastructure
The Fund invests primarily in existing infrastructure in Northern and Eastern Europe but also has the flexibility to invest globally, particularly in North America. Investment targets are basic infrastructure, concession-based infrastructure, social infrastructure and infrastructure-related services.

Expansion Capital

The funds provide flexible capital solutions in Northern and Eastern Europe in a variety of situations, including expansion capital for privately-owned businesses, changes in shareholder structure and acquisitions by strategic or financial investors.

Credit
The Fund invests in debt of operationally sound but over-leveraged medium-sized European companies and has the flexibility to invest in the secondary market as well as by providing new funds where traditional sources of capital are unable to provide a satisfactory solution for stakeholders. 

Opportunity
The Fund’s focus was on medium-sized companies in Northern Europe that had a sound underlying business and a clear value creation potential, but also faced problems that required special expertise to resolve. The Fund closed for new investments in 2010.

All EQT businesses invest in companies in which EQT can serve as a catalyst for change and transforming these companies into leading positions by making genuine, permanent improvements.

EQT has raised close to EUR 18 billion in 14 funds. In total, EQT’s equity funds have invested and financed EUR 10.8 billion in around 100 companies and exited close to 50.

EQT Partners, the investment advisor to all EQT funds has around 120 investment professionals with a broad range of industrial and financial background located in Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Munich, New York, Oslo, Shanghai, Singapore, Stockholm and Warsaw.

EQT has a unique network of international contacts that support in developing exclusive contacts to companies, evaluating companies during the due diligence process and supporting portfolio companies strategically as board members. The network consists of around 100 Industrial Advisors that give advice and act as door openers to all EQT businesses, an exclusive group of around 15 active Industrial Advisors that often take up positions as chairmen, and an extensive international network of industrial specialists that take place on the Boards of companies owned by EQT’s funds.
